Load up your guns and bring your friends, it's fun to lose and to pretend.
Before the phenomenon of iPhones, flat screen televisions, and the Kardashians, grunge took over the whole 90's era with high expectations.
It’s 1997. Brooklyn, New York is at it’s highest peak with many cultures thriving to survive. We’re all still mourning Kurt Cobain’s death, anticipating the next episode of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and keeping our lids wide open for the new fashion trends. The world and it’s places are evolving, but behind the many cultures that are quickly migrating, we stumble upon Riverside Highschool: the teenage wasteland of the grunge era. These were the kids who were left behind, but certainly aren’t going to be known as such. These are the kids who are crazy, liars, lazy; these are the kids who are alive. Here they are now; entertain them.
Mainly, be active! I’m not asking for a post every day, but if you don’t say anything for at least one week, your role’s gonna be reopened. If you’re gonna be absent, that’s one thing that can be fixed pretty easy — just drop a message or let me know!
Mind the setting: it’s the 90’s, and nobody’s got iPhones or iPads or any overrated Apple product. This is the fun part of the roleplay, getting to live vicariously in such a fun decade.
Be respectful, ooc. It doesn’t matter if you wanna cause drama ic, but ooc, I’d want you to treat everyone as you would want to be treated. Big happy family, yes/no?
If there’s anything you really wanna change about your character, let me know and we can talk it over ;)
There’s no specific rating to this roleplay, but I do ask you keep your MA paragraphs under a read more. You know, for courtesy and everything. Everything else is a-okay.
You don’t have to para all the time, just so you know, but it’s good to have some writing here and there. I do understand not everybody feels like it/doesn’t have the time/just wants to get something done really quick!
Proper grammar, good spelling, the whole gist of it! Unless it’s in your character’s cute ass dialect, write neatly.
And lastly, have fun! It’s not a boot camp here and I’m a pretty laid back person, so I don’t mind an ooc post here and there, since I would have a fair amount myself. I want everybody to feel comfortable/make friends/enjoy themselves!
